Aggregate operations change constantly. Material arrives, moves, processes, and leaves the site while equipment, rail, access routes, and active work areas continue operating around it. Aerial capture documents that complete context without requiring personnel to walk every pile or enter active equipment zones.

Each mission is planned around the site layout, production activity, safety requirements, desired measurements, and how the finished information will be used.

Mapping & documentation

One current view of the operation.

Systematic overlapping imagery can be processed into a high-resolution orthomosaic and three-dimensional surface representation of the site. These deliverables help teams review pile locations, equipment, access, neighboring infrastructure, and existing conditions from a single shareable dataset.

Repeat capture creates a consistent visual record for inventory cycles, operational planning, production discussions, and change over time.

Measurement-capable deliverables

Volumes supported by the right field workflow.

When the capture and processing scope is configured for measurement, mapped stockpiles can be delineated and compared with an appropriate base surface to calculate volume. The workflow may incorporate RTK-enabled positioning, ground control, checkpoints, or survey coordination according to the accuracy requirements and site conditions.

Coordination with engineering and surveying teams is designed to be straightforward. Before mobilization, SSDS can align the flight plan, coordinate system, control and checkpoint requirements, naming conventions, and requested deliverable formats with the project team. The result is organized field data that fits more easily into the engineer's or surveyor's established workflow.

SSDS does not apply the term “survey-grade” to every flight. The collection method and stated deliverable are matched to the client's intended use, whether the need is operational reference data, repeatable inventory documentation, or a dataset coordinated with surveying professionals.
