SSDS develops the capture plan around the site, schedule, and intended use of the data. Repeatable aerial perspectives make progress easier to communicate, while high-resolution mapping and site models preserve the spatial context that individual photographs often miss.

RTK-enabled positioning is used when the project benefits from higher positional consistency and accuracy. It is one tool within the workflow—not a label applied to every mission.

Mapping & project records

One current view of the entire site.

Multiple overlapping aerial images are processed into a single detailed orthomosaic. The comparison illustrates how individual captures become complete site context that teams can review, share, and revisit.

Project teams can use orthomosaics to communicate progress, document staging and access, and maintain a visual record tied to a specific point in time. Repeat capture from consistent flight plans makes milestone comparison even clearer.

When the capture and processing workflow is configured for measurement, teams can obtain reference distances, areas, elevations, clearances, and stockpile volumes from the resulting dataset. Project requirements determine whether RTK positioning, ground control, or additional survey coordination is appropriate.

Photogrammetric 3D models provide a detailed digital representation of exterior conditions. When a project also needs interiors, equipment rooms, or ground-level circulation documented, Matterport Pro3 capture can extend that record into the facility.

Owners, engineers, and project teams can revisit conditions remotely, review spatial relationships, take reference measurements when the capture scope supports them, and reduce unnecessary return visits for routine follow-up questions.
